Micah Peavy faces roster uncertainty with Grizzlies before season opener

Micah Peavy, acquired by the Memphis Grizzlies from the New Orleans Pelicans, may face a potential roster cut as the team approaches the regular season. Peavy's $2.2 million salary for this season is guaranteed, but his 2027-28 salary of $2.5 million becomes guaranteed if he is not waived prior to the Grizzlies’ first game.
