Micah Peavy prepares for second NBA season with New Orleans Pelicans
Summary

New Orleans Pelicans guard Micah Peavy enters his second NBA training camp looking to secure a consistent rotation spot. A second-round pick in 2025, Peavy posted averages of 4.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists during his rookie season. He demonstrated defensive aptitude and ability as a cutter but struggled with perimeter shooting, finishing the year at 25.9% from three-point range. To earn more playing time, Peavy must improve his shooting consistency and offensive production throughout the upcoming training camp. He faces competition for roster minutes from teammates including Trendon Watford, Bryce McGowens, Jordan Poole, and Caleb Houstan. The Pelicans are scheduled to begin training camp in less than one month.
