Michael Boyle captures gold at U20 Pan American Championships

Michael Boyle of Watterson won the 97-kilogram title at the U20 Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro on July 9. He achieved victory in all four matches, showcasing dominance with three technical falls and finishing with a nine-second pin against Humberto Valverde Uzner of Mexico in the final. This victory adds to Boyle's accomplishments, including a recent win at the U.S. Open Championships and securing a spot on the U.S. team for the upcoming U20 World Championships in Slovakia from August 16-23. Boyle's success follows a perfect 38-0 season last winter and a state championship title.
