Michael Hutchinson has announced his retirement from the NHL after parts of 13 seasons. The Winnipeg Jets confirmed his retirement via social media, celebrating his career as he turns 36. Hutchinson made his NHL debut with the Jets in 2013 and also played for teams including the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he had two stints. Despite becoming a reliable backup with a record of 57-62-18 and 154 appearances, his last NHL game was during the 2023-24 season. Hutchinson plans to participate in the Alumni Game hosted by the Jets in October.
