Michael Irvin plans to advocate for George Pickens contract extension

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens is playing on a $27.3 million franchise tag this season after the organization declined to offer him a long-term contract extension. Michael Irvin, a three-time Super Bowl champion and former Cowboys player, intends to lobby team owner Jerry Jones to secure a multi-year deal for the wide receiver. Pickens recorded 1,429 receiving yards last season, earning his first All-Pro selection during his debut campaign with the team. Irvin publicly expressed support for Pickens following an interview at the Dallas Cowboys training camp. Pickens must now replicate his previous performance during the current season to strengthen his position for a future contract.
