Michael Lukkason, an East Grand Forks native, is set for induction into the Dakota Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026. A 2012 graduate of DWU, Lukkason was honored as the Great Plains Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2013 and was named an All-American shortstop. Throughout his collegiate career, he recorded a.318 batting average with eight home runs and 104 RBIs over 160 games. The official induction ceremony will take place at the Sherman Center, followed by recognition at the homecoming football game against Concordia (Neb.) on Saturday, Oct. 10.
