Michael Penix makes progress at Falcons OTAs with potential return

Michael Penix Jr. is approaching a full return to practice with the Atlanta Falcons, participating in throwing drills and 7-on-7 drills during OTAs. Head coach Kevin Stefanski indicated that Penix could participate in 11-on-11 sessions as early as next week at mandatory minicamp. Cornerback Billy Bowman Jr. continues to progress in his recovery from an Achilles injury but is not yet cleared for practice. Rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels is also working his way back, having progressed from a walking boot to riding a stationary bike. The Falcons plan to evaluate their quarterbacks more fully in training camp, as competition will not commence until all players are at full health.
