Michigan basketball concludes three-game European tour with one win

Michigan basketball finished its 10-day European exhibition tour through Lithuania, Croatia, and Montenegro with a 1-2 record. First-year head coach Mike Boynton Jr. described the trip as largely successful despite recording 64 total turnovers and sustaining injuries to several players. Freshman guard Brandon McCoy Jr. suffered a season-ending ACL tear during the second game of the tour. Additionally, Moustapha Thiam, Ricky Liburd, Jalen Reed, and Lincoln Cosby missed portions of the trip due to injuries. The Wolverines opened with losses to the Lithuania national team and Lithuania’s B squad before securing an 84-81 victory over Croatian professional club Mega SuperBet. Trey McKenney led the team in scoring across the trip, while Elliott Cadeau averaged 13.7 points and 5.7 assists per game. The team continues to recover at home in Ann Arbor while preparing for the upcoming season.
