Michigan basketball hires Bertram Caruthers as player development director

Michigan basketball has appointed Bertram "Buzzy" Caruthers as its new Director of Player Development, according to U-M's athletics directory. Caruthers replaces Justin Joyner and joins a staff that includes three new assistant coaches. He previously worked at Ball State and Missouri State, focusing on player development. Michigan's upcoming international trip to Lithuania and Croatia is set for August 21-29, prior to exhibition games starting in October.
