Michigan basketball team receives national championship and Big Ten title rings

The Michigan men’s basketball team held a ceremony on September 11 to receive rings commemorating their national championship and Big Ten regular-season title from the previous campaign. Former head coach Dusty May, who is now leading the Dallas Mavericks, returned for the event alongside first-round draft picks Morez Johnson Jr., Yaxel Lendeborg, and Aday Mara. The jewelry features details from the team’s record-setting 37-3 season, including the final scores of their Final Four victory over Arizona and their national title win against UConn. The rings also memorialize a Big Ten-record 19 conference wins and an undefeated road performance. The group is scheduled to be honored at Michigan Stadium during the football game against Oklahoma on September 12.
