Michigan coaches association names ten finalists for Miss Volleyball award

The Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association has identified 10 senior finalists for the 2026 Miss Volleyball award. This annual honor recognizes the state's top high school player based on individual performance, academic achievement, and team success. Nominees include Grace Goodyke, Mallory Johnson, Kate Kalczynski, Riley Loehfelm, Cynthia Ockerman, Camille Robinson, Marlie Smith, Sophia Smith, Mallory Wandel, and a tenth unnamed candidate. Candidates represent programs from across the state and bring diverse backgrounds, ranging from Division 1 state champions to nationally ranked prospects. The award, sponsored by the Detroit Free Press since 2003, serves as a primary marker for excellence in Michigan high school volleyball. Players are currently committed to various collegiate programs, including Nebraska, Penn State, and Clemson, as they conclude their final high school seasons.
