Michigan defeats Oklahoma 17-10 in Big Ten defensive performance

Michigan improved to 2-0 on the season following a 17-10 victory over No. 11 Oklahoma at Michigan Stadium on Saturday. Quarterback Bryce Underwood accounted for a 38-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, and Jordan Marshall scored the winning 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter following an interception by Jyaire Hill. The Michigan defense limited Oklahoma to 289 total yards and forced two turnovers, while Nate Marshall sealed the game with a sack in the final minute. Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer finished 17 of 33 passing for 189 yards and a touchdown. The win follows Michigan’s narrow victory over Western Michigan in the season opener. Michigan is scheduled to face UTEP in Week 3.
