Michigan football pursues Kentucky commit Tristin Hughes as recruiting efforts continue

Michigan is actively recruiting four-star safety Tristin Hughes, a current Kentucky commit, who plans to attend the Penn State game on October 17. Safeties coach Tyler Stockton initially offered Hughes in March, and the program remains interested in adding to its safety depth following the commitment of Charles Woodson Jr. Additionally, four-star athlete Cartae Ligon visited Ann Arbor for the season opener against Western Michigan but indicated he is monitoring the team’s offensive development and coaching stability. Meanwhile, 2027 quarterback recruit Kamden Lopati has helped lead West high school to a 4-0 start. Lopati has recorded 1,005 passing yards and nine touchdowns so far this season while maintaining ongoing communication with the coaching staff.
