Michigan safety Chris Bracy earns designation as top boom-or-bust player

Michigan safety Chris Bracy is entering the upcoming season identified as a top boom-or-bust player by CBS Sports. After playing at UAB and later spending time at Memphis, Bracy earned a starting role within the Michigan defensive backfield. He arrives at the Power Four level following a 2025 campaign where he recorded 81 tackles with the Tigers. Despite being ranked as the No. 1286 player in the transfer portal, he posted strong run defense grades according to PFF. The transition to a new conference remains a primary question for the defensive back. Bracy is expected to contribute alongside returning veteran Rod Moore to improve the secondary for the Wolverines.
