Michigan State football adds Lawrence Kanneh to 2027 class

Michigan State football secured its fourth commitment from Ohio for the 2027 recruiting class with the addition of three-star pass rusher Lawrence Kanneh. Kanneh, who plays at Whitehall Yearling High School near Columbus, made his commitment during an official visit on June 6. He ranks as the No. 71 edge rusher nationally and the No. 31 player in Ohio according to 247 Sports' composite rankings. This commitment is part of Michigan State's effort to deepen its recruiting ties in Ohio under new coach Pat Fitzgerald, bringing the class total to 11 commitments, currently ranked No. 44 nationally. Kanneh joins another Columbus-area player, Jack Schuler, as part of the edge rusher additions.
