Michigan State hockey adds Diego Johnson to 2026-27 roster

Michigan State hockey has secured a late commitment from Diego Johnson for the 2026-27 season. Johnson, a winger standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds, joins the Spartans after a stint with the Penticton Vees in the WHL. He is expected to fill the gap left by Nikita Klepov, who signed an entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks earlier this summer. Johnson has experience in junior hockey, with over 250 games played and 20 or more goals in each of the past two seasons.
