Michigan State volleyball defeated 14th-ranked Penn State 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19 on September 27 at Breslin Center. After leading through most of the match, MSU faced a challenge in the third set but managed a strong performance in the fourth. This victory marks Kelsay's first win over a top-15 opponent and is significant for the Spartans' aspirations to reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in nine seasons. The team will next face UCLA on October 3.
