Michigan Wolverines look to Bryce Underwood for breakout season

Summary

Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood, following a lackluster 2025 season, aims for improvement under new head coach Kyle Whittingham. The Wolverines, moving on from a turbulent offseason with the dismissal of head coach Sherrone Moore due to inappropriate conduct, are focusing on Underwood's development. After finishing his freshman year with 2,428 passing yards and more interceptions than touchdowns, Underwood's progress will be aided by newly hired quarterbacks coach Detmer, who emphasizes refining his mechanics and decision-making.
