Middle Tennessee State plans sixteen million dollar renovation for Floyd Stadium

Middle Tennessee State announced a $16 million renovation project for Floyd Stadium, slated to begin following the conclusion of the 2026 football season. The upgrades focus on the west side of the facility, including the installation of more than 2,200 new chairback seats designed with increased legroom. In addition to seating improvements, the project adds dual patios with concessions and televisions, along with two party decks and 57-foot ribbon videoboards. Construction will also enhance ADA accessibility and add seat backs to existing bench areas in the upper corners. This initiative follows a $66 million investment in the school's student-athlete performance center completed last year. Athletic director Chris Massaro indicated the plan aims to improve spectator sightlines and overall game day comfort for attendees.
