Middlesbrough's Ashley Phillips unlikely to debut against Doncaster

Middlesbrough's manager Kim Hellberg stated that defender Ashley Phillips is still not fit to play. Phillips did not travel with the squad for Saturday's defeat against Blackburn and is not expected to participate in the upcoming Carabao Cup match against Doncaster. Hellberg mentioned that Phillips is..............some way from making his debut, possibly returning next Saturday. Also, David Strelec may return to the squad for the Doncaster trip. Additionally, Middlesbrough is working on signing former Leeds defender Sam Byram.
