Midfielder Elliot Lee departs Wrexham after contract termination

Wrexham have mutually terminated the contract of midfielder Elliot Lee, ending his tenure with the Championship club. The 31-year-old joined the team from Luton Town in 2022 and contributed 41 goals in 152 appearances during the club's climb through the football pyramid. His role diminished following the team's promotion to the Championship, leading to a loan stint at Doncaster Rovers last season. Lee has not been included in any of Wrexham's four matchday squads during the current campaign. Manager Phil Parkinson thanked Lee for his contributions to the club’s recent promotions, noting the player is now looking for consistent minutes elsewhere. Lee is now a free agent and has reportedly drawn interest from Sheffield Wednesday.
