Mike Brown comments on 76ers' strong preseason roster against Knicks

New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown discussed the Philadelphia 76ers' roster ahead of their preseason matchup on October 6, 2026. The 76ers, featuring new acquisitions Jaylen Brown and LeBron James, convincingly defeated the Knicks 120-97 in their opener. While three starters sat out, the Philadelphia bench showed depth with multiple players scoring in double digits. Brown acknowledged the challenges this roster presents for other teams pursuing a championship and noted that the 76ers are a real contender if they remain healthy. Moving forward, 76ers coach Nick Nurse plans to focus on getting key players more integrated in the remaining preseason games.
