Mike Evans key to 49ers offense in 2026 season opener against Rams

San Francisco 49ers veteran receiver Mike Evans is expected to play a vital role in the team's offense during the 2026 season, starting with their match against the Los Angeles Rams. As the 49ers look to build on a playoff berth from 2025, the combination of Evans, quarterback Brock Purdy, and head coach Kyle Shanahan will be crucial. With questions surrounding other key players like George Kittle and new additions, Evans needs to provide consistent production and leadership. The team opens its season in Australia, emphasizing the need for a strong performance from Evans.
