Mike LaFleur honors Pat Tillman on his 50th birthday with tribute shirt

Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur paid tribute to Pat Tillman on what would have been the player's 50th birthday by wearing a commemorative shirt during a media session on November 6, 2026. The maroon shirt featured an image of Tillman in his No. 40 jersey, a poignant nod to the famed safety who left football to serve in the U.S. Army after the September 11 attacks. Tillman, who played four seasons with the Cardinals, was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2004. As LaFleur prepares the Cardinals for an upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks, this gesture reflects Tillman's enduring legacy within the organization, which retired his number and erected a statue in his honor.
