Mike Pegues joins UConn's coaching staff under Dan Hurley

Mike Pegues has been appointed as an assistant coach for the UConn men's basketball team, joining Dan Hurley's staff. Previously, Pegues spent six seasons at Xavier under head coach Chris Mack, where the team reached five NCAA Tournaments, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2017 and a No. 1 seed in 2018. Most recently, he served as an assistant at Butler under Thad Matta, who recently announced his retirement. Pegues also briefly held the role of interim head coach at Louisville in 2022 before transitioning to UConn.
