The pieces of the puzzle were in motion for the main event to TNA Slammiversary, but they weren’t glued down yet. That changed during the latest episode of Impact on Thursday night (June 11, 2026). Mike Santana will defend the TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth on PPV. There were a lot of moving pieces in play to arrange that matchup. Santana had business at hand to defend the gold against Eric Young. Young earned his shot by winning a battle royal. He also had momentum from last week by standing tall after a low blow and a piledriver. That situation played out again in the world title bout, except Young didn’t stand tall on this evening.
