Mike Vanderjagt has been named the head coach and general manager of the Indianapolis Capitols, a new team in the Continental Football League. Vanderjagt, a former kicker for the Indianapolis Colts, rejoins the Indianapolis football scene after a lengthy hiatus. The Capitols are preparing for their inaugural season in 2027, and their home games will be held at Grand Park in Westfield. Vanderjagt played eight seasons with the Colts before his NFL career ended in 2006 after a brief stint with the Dallas Cowboys.
