Mikel Arteta defends Arsenal attacking options after quiet transfer window

Mikel Arteta has stated his confidence in the current Arsenal squad following a summer transfer window that saw the club miss out on signing a marquee forward. The manager dismissed concerns regarding the team's ability to compete at the highest level, including the Champions League. Arsenal reportedly pursued players such as Vinicius Junior, Morgan Rogers, and Julian Alvarez but failed to finalize any deals for a new attacker. While analysts like Jamie Carragher have suggested the squad lacks a game-changing forward to complement the existing group, Arteta maintains that his current players possess enough quality to prove their value. He emphasized his trust in the squad's talent, stating that he expects the team to demonstrate their standing by the conclusion of the season. The club will rely on current options including Kai Havertz to anchor the front line as they move forward.
