Mikel Arteta matches Jose Mourinho record for wins against Chelsea

Arsenal secured a 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. The result brings Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to 12 total wins against the west London club, equalling the record previously set by Jose Mourinho. While Mourinho holds a slight lead in total head-to-head fixtures during his time with Chelsea, Arteta has achieved his 12 wins in fewer matches while recording fewer draws. The victory continues an unbeaten streak for the Arsenal manager against the side, currently reaching 12 consecutive games. Arsenal now shifts focus to upcoming Champions League fixtures, while Chelsea continues its domestic campaign with no European commitments this season. The two sides are scheduled to meet again in the Premier League on March 13, 2027.
