Milan regrets missing Issa Doumbia as Premier League interest grows

Summary

Milan appears to be regretting their decision to overlook Issa Doumbia, who is now drawing interest from several Premier League clubs. The Italy midfielder had a strong start with Sporting after being signed from Venezia for €20 million, plus add-ons. Originally targeted by Milan last April, the move fell through when key staff members left the club. Doumbia made his mark in Portugal by scoring in a Champions League match against Lens shortly after earning his first cap for Italy against Turkiye. He is under contract until 2031, with a release clause becoming active next July.
