Miles Nesmith repeats as Gatorade Tennessee Boys Track and Field Player of the Year

Miles Nesmith of Memphis Central has been named the Gatorade Tennessee Boys Track and Field Player of the Year for the second consecutive year, as announced on June 26, 2026. The senior jumper's achievements this season include winning state championships in both the Class AAA long jump and triple jump. He also excelled at the USA Track & Field Under-20 championships earlier this month., Nesmith set a state record at the Penn Relays with a triple jump of 53 feet, one inch, the highest mark among high school athletes this season. He maintains a GPA of 3.38 and has committed to Kansas State University for further athletic and academic pursuits.
