Miles Russell and Tyler Watts join the U.S. Walker Cup team

Teenagers Miles Russell and Tyler Watts are preparing to compete for the U.S. Walker Cup team at Lahinch Golf Club. The two players are the first American representatives since Jordan Spieth and Patrick Rodgers in 2011 to join the squad before beginning their college golf careers. U.S. captain Nathan Smith indicated that he expects to lean on both players during the upcoming competition. Russell is the top-ranked junior golfer in the United States, while Watts currently holds the second spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Both players have participated in significant amateur tournaments throughout the season, with Watts already securing cuts on the PGA Tour. The team is currently in Ireland practicing ahead of the event.
