Milwaukee Brewers closer Trevor Megill receives NL Reliever of the Month honors

Major League Baseball named Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Trevor Megill the National League Reliever of the Month for August. Megill earned the recognition following a scoreless streak of 14 appearances dating back to July 22. During this 14 1/3-inning stretch, he allowed only four hits and struck out 11 batters. The 32-year-old has converted 17 consecutive save opportunities and currently holds a 25-for-27 record on the season. This award marks the first time a Brewers player has won a monthly league honor during the 2026 season. Megill is the first member of the team to receive the NL Reliever of the Month title since Devin Williams in July 2023.
