The Milwaukee Brewers designated right-handed pitcher Joel Kuhnel for assignment on Wednesday. The move comes after the club reinstated the six-year veteran from the 15-day injured list, where he had been recovering from a shoulder injury. Kuhnel last pitched for the major league roster on July 2 against the Cincinnati Reds. Since joining the Brewers in a trade from the Athletics earlier this season, the 6-foot-5 pitcher recorded a 6.52 ERA and eight strikeouts across 10 appearances.
