Minnesota Timberwolves show interest in Russell Westbrook for upcoming season

Summary

The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly considering Russell Westbrook as a potential addition for the upcoming NBA season. Westbrook, a former MVP, played for the Sacramento Kings last season and has had a tumultuous recent history, suiting up for six teams in seven years. The Timberwolves seek a reliable backup point guard for LaMelo Ball, who has faced injury issues. Despite concerns over Westbrook's three-point shooting and fit with current personnel, the team believes he could offer valuable experience and mentorship, particularly for young stars like Anthony Edwards. This potential move would also require careful attention to lineup spacing during critical play periods.
