Minnesota Vikings add edge rusher Kenny Dyson to the practice squad

The Minnesota Vikings signed edge rusher Kenny Dyson to the practice squad following a strong performance during the preseason. Dyson, who previously played for the Carolina Panthers and in a spring pro league, recorded one sack, six pressures, and two quarterback hits across two appearances with Minnesota. The team also bolstered its defensive rotation by recently signing veteran Kyle Van Noy, who tallied 12.5 sacks in 2024. Brian Flores currently coordinates a defense that also includes Andrew Van Ginkel, Dallas Turner, and several linebackers capable of rushing the passer. The Vikings continue to evaluate their options at edge rusher as they prepare for the regular season. Minnesota opens its 2026 campaign against the Green Bay Packers with the goal of securing a Week 1 victory.
