The Minnesota Vikings signed veteran Kyle Van Noy ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Van Noy joins the team to provide depth at the edge position behind Dallas Turner and Andrew Van Ginkel. The 35-year-old previously played under defensive coordinator Brian Flores during their shared time with the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins. NFL analyst Chris Simms noted that Van Noy remains a versatile contributor capable of playing multiple roles, including pass rushing and pass coverage. Former linebacker Ben Leber supported the acquisition, citing the veteran's history of performing in high-pressure game situations. The signing bolsters a unit that features an unproven edge rotation entering the regular season.
