Minnesota Vikings release linebacker Kenny Dyson with an injury settlement

The Minnesota Vikings have officially parted ways with linebacker Kenny Dyson after reaching an injury settlement. The team previously waived the undrafted free agent with an injury designation following the final roster cutdown to 53 players. Dyson originally signed with Minnesota in mid-August and appeared in the 2025 preseason, where he recorded 1.0 sacks and three hurries. By agreeing to the injury settlement, the organization has cleared its contractual liability for his recovery period. Under NFL regulations, Dyson is now prohibited from re-signing with the Vikings for a period of three weeks. Minnesota has since addressed its depth at pass rusher by adding Kyle Van Noy to the practice squad.
