Minnesota Vikings sign veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy to practice squad

The Minnesota Vikings signed veteran outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy to their practice squad on September 1. The 35-year-old enters the organization with 173 games of experience and 57 career sacks. Van Noy previously spent the 2025 season with the Baltimore Ravens after earlier stints with the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, and Miami Dolphins. He reunites in Minnesota with defensive coordinator Brian Flores, with whom he won two Super Bowl titles during their tenure together in New England. The acquisition follows a season-ending ACL injury to Tyler Batty, which prompted the team to seek additional depth at the edge rusher position. Van Noy will begin on the practice squad to ramp up for potential active roster inclusion.
