Miro Parr-Coffin finishes second at Bob Firman Invitational

Miro Parr-Coffin of Gonzaga Prep secured second place in the boys elite race at the Bob Firman Invitational on September 26. He was overtaken by Yosuke Shibata of South Eugene High, who set a school record of 14 minutes, 28 seconds. Parr-Coffin, who led much of the race, finished just four-tenths of a second behind his opponent, achieving a personal best. Both athletes might compete again next month at the Nike Cross Regional. In other results, Wyatt Morgenstern of Coeur d'Alene placed third as his team finished overall in third place, while the girls' race was won by Morgan Delaney of Polson, Montana.
