Schalke 04 defeated Union Berlin 3-1 on Friday, marking the team’s first Bundesliga victory of the season. Following the match, head coach Miron Muslic credited his substitutes, whom he refers to as game-changers, for their impact on the result. Players including Edin Dzeko, Hee-Chan Hwang, and Maximilian Wöber entered the match late to help secure the win. The terminology reflects a tactical philosophy centered on fresh impulses rather than traditional bench roles. This approach previously helped Schalke earn a 0-0 draw against Bayern Munich, where five changes assisted the team in holding their defensive structure. Muslic maintains that healthy competition during training remains central to his rotation strategy.
