Mississippi Mud Monsters name David Kerr as general manager

The Mississippi Mud Monsters appointed David Kerr as general manager on September 8, 2026. Kerr, who previously served as the organization's assistant general manager since the club's launch in 2024, was introduced during a news conference at Trustmark Park. He brings over a decade of professional baseball experience to the position, including a six-year tenure with the Mississippi Braves. Beyond his team operations work, Kerr has contributed to the development of The Southern Lights, an annual holiday event held at the ballpark. Joe Eng, the club’s owner and CEO, stated that Kerr’s familiarity with the organization and his vision for its future prompted the promotion. Kerr will now lead the team's ongoing development efforts in Pearl, Mississippi.
