The team opened play on Wednesday with a 3-0 sweep against Southwestern Oklahoma State University, winning sets 25-14, 25-23, and 25-12. Addysen Alvis and Kaelyn Kendrick led the offensive effort with nine kills each in the victory. The Lions returned to the court Thursday morning and fell in straight sets to Arkansas Tech University, 19-25, 11-25, 19-25. Alvis recorded 12 kills and three aces during the loss. The Lions hold a 2-4 overall record heading into their remaining schedule at the tournament, which includes a Friday match against Truman State University.
