Missouri State retires Dennis Heim's number at Plaster Stadium

Missouri State retired Dennis Heim's No. 71 jersey during a halftime ceremony at Plaster Stadium on Saturday, September 12. Heim, who played for the program from 1974 to 1977, became the fifth person in school history to receive the honor. The ceremony took place during Missouri State’s 48-14 victory over Lindenwood. Currently, Heim holds the school’s all-time sack record with 41, a mark he established during his collegiate tenure. Head coach Casey Woods praised Heim’s role as an ambassador for the university during the event. The ceremony occurred before an audience of 12,000 attendees as the football program continues its transition and growth at the FBS level.
