Mizzou Gym announces hiring of Oleksii Koltakov as assistant coach

Mizzou Gymnastics has hired Oleksii Koltakov, a former assistant at Georgia and Nebraska, to complete its coaching staff for the upcoming season. Koltakov, who received WCGA Co-Regional Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2023, is expected to enhance the team's technical expertise and competitive success. His experience includes improving Georgia's vaulting team to top-five status. Mizzou's head coach Shannon Welker expressed enthusiasm about Koltakov's potential contribution to the program's culture and coaching goals. The Tigers are still finalizing the coaching staff's roles following the departure of beam coach Lacey Rubin last month.
