Mizzou soccer draws 0-0 with Western Kentucky in season opener

Missouri soccer opened its 2026 season with a scoreless draw at Western Kentucky on August 13. The Tigers outshot the Hilltoppers 11-8 but could not convert any opportunities, with Western Kentucky goalkeeper Mia Riddick making six saves. Missouri dominated the first half but struggled to maintain that momentum after halftime. Forward Brianna Buels led the offense, while goalkeeper Kate Phillips recorded three saves. Four newcomers made their debuts, including freshman forward Audrey Gilbert. Missouri’s next match is against Murray State on August 16.
