Mizzou softball adds Jana Want from MTSU to transfer class

Jana Want, a shortstop from Middle Tennessee State, joins Mizzou softball with two years of eligibility remaining. During her time at MTSU, she played in 104 games, posting a.325 batting average with 15 home runs and 64 RBI. Want was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year and earned All-Conference honors in her sophomore season. She aims to provide offensive support for the Tigers, who struggled last season at critical moments. Coach Larissa Anderson's plans for Want will become clearer during fall practices, as she competes for a starting position.
