Mizzou volleyball defeats Arkansas State in four sets at Hearnes Center

Mizzou volleyball secured a four-set victory over Arkansas State at the Hearnes Center on Thursday night, finishing 15-25, 25-21, 25-23, 26-24. After a difficult opening set where the team hit -.034, Mizzou adjusted its lineup to a 6-2 system. Grace O’Reilly recorded a team-high 13 kills, while Sierra Dudley contributed 36 assists and four kills. The Tigers overcame a late deficit in the fourth set, forcing an Arkansas State error to end the match after earlier rallying from a 20-15 disadvantage. This result marks a turnaround from last season, when the two teams played two five-set matches. Coach Dawn Sullivan noted that the team focused on playing at a faster pace and maintaining consistency to secure the win.
