Mizzou volleyball prepares for season after Black and Gold scrimmage

Mizzou volleyball held its Black and Gold scrimmage at the Hearnes Center, two weeks prior to the season opener against Western Illinois. The event showcased several position battles, particularly the outside hitter spots where freshmen Ceylin Kuyan and returning player Paige Felder impressed. The team faces changes in the libero position as Maya Sands departs, leaving responsibility on sophomore Zoey Matias-Lopez and Evansville transfer Ainoah Cruz. Freshman Eva Smith stood out in the middle blocker position, raising optimism for the upcoming season. The Tigers will continue to refine their roster in an exhibition match against Drake on Saturday.
