MLW Fusion returns with Killer Kross, Shotzi, and more matches

MLW action returned on Saturday night (May 30, 2026) with a double serving of Fusion for the season premiere. It didn’t take long to set the table for title shots with Matt Riddle, Shotzi Blackheart, Austin Aries, and the Good Brothers getting in position for gold. Fusion picked up from the events of Battle Riot VIII. Killer Kross was victorious to win the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. On Fusion, Kross held a press conference to announce an open challenge contract to anyone in the world. Be warned though. Kross will give the people what they want and suplex the challenger on his f***ing head. Let the speculation begin. The Rude Dude is a former world champion in MLW, and he has unfinished business with Kross. Killer forced Riddle to tap out in his return match to MLW, and that set the wheels in motion to win the gold. Round 2 goes down in two weeks on Fusion (June 13). Riddle had a message as well. The Rude Dude is coming to take back the world title, and there is nothing Kross can do about it. Major League Wrestling is back, baby! MLW didn’t go on a hiatus in general, but televised footage did. They have been touring with live events taped for the return of weekly Fusion episodes. The season premiere is Saturday night (May 30, 2026). Let’s start with a quick recap of last time MLW aired. Battle Riot VIII (video) was the feature attraction, and the MLW World Heavyweight Championship went to the winner. That winner was Killer Kross. Kross entered the Royal Rumble style match as #1, and he went the distance. The new world champion surged in the end for the final four eliminations on Donovan Dijak, Bishop Dyer, Alexander Hammerstone, and Matt Riddle. On the undercard, Kushida won the MLW World Middleweight Championship, then he turned heel to join the Contra Unit. Also of note, Mads Krugger dumped Contra, but their numbers remain strong. MLW Fusion comes back with a two-hour season premiere.
